Would you have preferred he be in the White House with a 747 bearing down on him?

My point has never been that he should have been in harm's way. Rather it is the appearance of him running to Nebraska to seek safety that I point out. With all airports shut down from 9:49 AM on, and fighters scrambled over Washington after 10:00 AM, he distanced himself from those dealing with the situation until 6:30 PM or 7:00 PM. Physically and symbolically. Maybe that is his idea of leadership?

He had an opportunity to symbolically show the world that our country is not cowed by this insanity at the very moment of its most intense trauma. He missed it. That's still my point and I'm sticking to it.
