I appreciate all of your responses to my SI post. I agree with many of you on most counts. As I mentioned, I believe our prosperity was an inheritance born of the sweat and virtue of our forefathers, and one that we work to maintain.

Don't get me wrong. I am proud of a great part of our culture and country. The self-loathing 'brainwashing' going on in our schools/media is damn near criminal.

At the same time, I believe that with power comes the responsibility to use it wisely. And to rule wisely, one must constantly review the morality of ones' positions. To try to walk a mile in "their" shoes' is a first step in that.

In terms of the appropriate response, I believe what my father taught me about confrontation. "Never pick a fight needlessly, but if someone else starts something, you finish it, as decisively as you can."

Anyway, that's about all I have to say. I appreciate the strength of intellect and integrity of many of you here. I think that what makes a person 'great' is the ability to control one's emotions by one's intellect.

After watching the scenes of senseless death and destruction the desire to 'hurt someone' in response is very strong. These animals need to be euthanized.

It helps to vent.
