Yes and I had queasy feelings about you to in that tall sucker in Houston. We were at MDA when this started and for some reason the Transco bldg came to mind. I heard later that someone in Houston had recommended evacuating it. Did they? erg

Mike: Thanks for the kind remarks. I really mean it when I say that I was honored that Bill asked me to fill in for him on occasion. Like many others who died in this tragedy, he was one heck of a gifted contributor to our society. While I am a very sad Canuck this evening, I have to say that I am proud of the remarkable response of your country to this staggering tragedy. Right across the board, from your top political leaders right down to the guys and gals on the rescue fronts, it has been a truly stunning window on what America is really all about. I am not particularly religious, but "God Bless" keeps filling my thoughts. Best, Earlie
