Yesterday I witnessed terror and hope. The terror we all shared. The hope was in the eyes of a group of 6 teenage boys, 14-17. My son and his friends spent most of the day at my home watching and discussing what had happened. At first they expressed anger and outrage which later turned to a discussion of what it meant to be an American. I believe I witnessed a birth of pride, determination and responsibility to their nation rise up in these fine young men. In my opinion one thing these evil terrorist have accomplished was to wake a new generation of the sleeping giant.
