You don't see that if we deal with the leaders about these people that in essence we are dealing with them? That dealing with the leaders concerning these people means that the leaders are a part of these people?

You don't negotiate with lunatics.
You don't appease lunatics.

We cannot just walk away and say "oh well, it was our fault that you decided to kill thousands of people, we should have known better than to oppose your wishes".

I don't know whether you are allowing your fear to influence your thinking, but if you are, you should reflect a little on the past.
That approach has never worked, when dealing with these types. neville chambelain taught us that, it's what he's famous for besides that stupid umbrella.

If you are secretly sympathetic to their cause and are using this forum to present your views, then maybe you should realize that you're probably going to get nowhere.
The American public, the American Military, and the American political structure is more than a little annoyed about what happened.

Not to mention that most of the rest of the world is more than a little pissed off about it also.

I am in the camp that thinks there's nothing more to talk about any more with those thugs.

I expect our leaders to take action, when they are ready.
I also expect them to do whatever is necessary to ensure that if they cannot stop it entirely from happening again, they at least do enough to reduce the number of incidents.

I don't pretend to know what the definitive answer is to accomplish this, but I am not the one that is supposed to know.
That's what Colin Powell was born for, and General Schwarzkoff, and the rest of those guys.
