God- no justification for this. None at all. I think looking for reasons helps to prevent it in the future, but it certainly isn't justification- they are two different animals, don't you think?

I would be very interested in the profiles of the people who did this. RIght now we have no profile. But if we knew who they were, and could figure out WHY they did this, we might be able to change the future generations of terrorists. It would be worth changing things (if we could, without hurting innocent people) to prevent terrorism in the future.

bin Laden was not the perpetrator of the crime, though he may have paid for it, but even that is a speculation. The people who "fought" all died - most likely THEY came from poverty. And I doubt they left large secret bank accounts behind.

Israel has almost all of the arable land in Galilee (that seems to be a root cause). Look at any satellite photo.

<killed Iraqui civilians while targeting military and strategic installations to stop Khadafy>
Actually Khadafy was in Libya. Do you mean Sadam Hussein?

<you are upset that we are not using more force, it sounds like, to prevent further atrocities against the Kurds?
>

No, I'm not upset except by innocent deaths. I suggested less, but better directed, force. If you have a starving calf, you can feed the hogs all you want, heck, even overfeed them, and you will still have a starving calf at the end of the day.

You don't see the justification because you live here. It appears that death is only justified when THEY are dying. To me one death is pretty much equal to another and I want to reduce the total number of deaths on all sides. You could count all the bodies of soldiers from the U.S. that have died (including Viet Nam) and not even come close to the deaths that have occurred in these places (as a percentage).

<There are no justifications for it that I find compelling.

Who was justifying it? Certainly not me. So, unless I blindly stand and wave the flag, I'm not a patriot. Hmm. Should I send you a copy of my DD214?
