nadine, rightly or wrongly, they equate the us to israel. we fund israel, israel occupies land taken from them and israel kills their rock throwing kids. i think they care much more about their dead kids and those of their friends than who is buying an armani suit in new york. i think i understand the situation. jews were treated horribly at the expense of the germans. in order to help them, palestinian land was taken from them and israel inserted. the palestinians believe the land was their and stolen and israel isn't about to go anywhere, due in no small part to us financial and direct military aid. the situation will NEVER be resolved, in part, b/c the palestinians have a LEGITIMATE beef. their land was taken. the sickos that have let this situation drive them insane and act on the insanity must be dealt with and harshly. however, i doubt envy drives folks to this level of rage. perhaps decades of people and kids dying in the streets will, though.
