Kash re <<A counter example is a long list of miserable human history where u kill the men women and children or as many as u can. The children grow up hating you and the cycle of violence goes on for centuries.>>

Well said. Sad that so many people are oblivious to this. It sure does not sound complicated to me.

Kash,

History teaches us that a positive constructive approach CAN work.
Examples would be germany and japan. Both a set of people that did unspeakable acts compared to recent bombings.

The difference, IMO is that the citizens of those countries didn't have any significant enmity of United States. The leaders at the time used propaganda to create it, but it was not spontaneous.

In mid east, you have just the opposite, IMO. The leaders of these countries are a lot more moderate than a common man in the street, even in places as Palestinian territories, where Arafat (as strange as it may seem) is basically a moderate among Palestinians.

But for the sake of argument, suppose it was possible to turn someone who are today prepared to give their own life to kill a Jew or American into a UPS truck driver whose most important decision on his mind is which model of Weber grill to buy.

How would you go about persuading Americans that they should send to Palestinians celebrating deaths of thousands of Americans are not Cruise missiles, but the tax dollars of Americans, especially considering the fact that it was already tried before and failed?
