And God is the least of it. Fine Kevin....i have been following the Taliban for a while too, and I agree that with the Taliban it's true Message 16343200 ------> God has very little to do with it . Totalitarianism, fascism , religious intolerance and insane fundamentalism do ...in the name of some fantasy "Heaven " that the drunk fanatics of Mohammed scammed up back during their former Holy Jhiads . Do you think tearing down the statues of the Buddha offended me Kevin? Even after the international community offered to have them removed from the insane Taliban's little offended eyes? No , Kevin that doesn't offend me as much as when Islam's Holy Jhiad (killer/robbers) went into India and killed 30,000 peacful Buddhist Monks in one day , some centuries ago in the name of some holy lunacy. I have a very grave problem with Fundamentalist of any kind . To my knowledge ,Islam is the last religion I know of on earth that has it's Spiritual Fathers sanctioning murder and martyrdom. I would kindly submit , that one of the very first acts of all Islamic nations on the earth & Muslim leaders ---->to immediately rescind the to revoke the fatwa, or religious ruling that sanctions suicide attacks as a legitimate form of waging jihad holy war. is that really too much to ask , of civilized people on a civilized earth ? Islam has many fine flowery and poetic musings on life and love ...but the Jhiads/fatwa and acts of terrorism must end for good . I am shocked at some of the messages I have read here on SI over the last couple of days. People talking about America and how we need to re-think our foreign policy, while people, (notice I didn't say Americans, because not all of them were), are laying in rubble dieing after a cheap and cowardly act. People defending the terrorists, saying they have a legitimate gripe with America, just because we don't support weapons of mass destruction. And, the Bush bashing, saying the President is weak and running off to Nebraska. I will not forget this.

Kevin , one thing people who have internet access can do, as I have is do periodic and daily check/searches on Yahoo or other News services on "Islamic Fundamentalists" or "Taliban" or "Fundamentalism" or "Terrorism" etc Whe we can all monitor any and all of their latest moves and condemn them , from out of any country of their origin... I could post over 50 examples of human insane behavior motivated by & coming from , but not limited to Islam. ( you have heard of "honor killings" , where women can be killed if they are raped in some Islamic countries?) Fundamentalism of any kind that preaches violence on this earth , is sophisticated enough to plot the deaths and destruction of the lives of others , in the name of any God , should be monitored , studied , censured liberally & scrutinized daily...and in the light of reason , virtue human sensibilty , and yes miltary force and replacement with democracy , be stamped out forever . And something better be allowed /encouraged to take it's place ....
