Carl, the danger is the number of people lashing out emotionally at "Muslims" "extremists" "radicals" etc. when we need to focus on the relative handful of homicidal maniacs that carried out the attacks. We have been grievously hurt and want to strike back at someone, somewhere, somehow. But it won't be that simple. We will likely need the assistance and support of moderate Islamic states to carry out any effective anti-terrorism program anyway. You only have to look around SI to see how feelings are running high. Fortunately I don't think that mood will prevail at the tables where real decisions are made in Washington.
