Claude, as long as you use money as a mean of exchanging wealth, and only that, you don't need any gold backing.

But if you use money to store wealth, I agree. You need some backing.

But, you should never acumulate wealth in the form of money. Very dangerous.

Claude, I agree with you and if I owned an Oil Well or a country that owned the oil wells, it would be black Gold for yellow Gold. They seem to me to be the only wealth in the world. JR
