It goes to show that the terrorists got exactly what they were after, didn't they?

>>How can we hope to get along with the rest of the world if we can't even listen to each other? The lack of reasonable discussion on this board is really disheartening, isn't it?<<

NOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

You still don't get it! It's not about how we agree, but how we disagree. We are allowed and encouraged to voice our opinions in a NON-VIOLENT, LEGAL way!!

It is not possible for everyone in a society to EVER agree!!! It's how we chose to disagree that determines the longevity of a society!!

Hello???

>>listen<< - ??? you mean obey??, as in 'control'?? Obviously most on the board HEAR you, but we don't have to listen or agree!

SR

Paula...after reading many of your posts and replies this morning, I have one question of you.

Have you been taking Valium? ;-)

Just because we don't all agree with you doesn't mean we aren't listening. Quite the opposite is true.

Watch the border for confidence!

When will you know the government has turned the corner to address the terrorism problem. Look no further than the borders. As long as it's so easy to get across the border, new fuel is always in the pipeline even if they roundup the usual suspects. With new fuel, the fire is always capable of reignition, explosion or the slow burn.

It was laughable yesterday when they reported on CNBC that the borders had been sealed. In fact the legal system doesn't want to get control of this problem as they make too much revenue off it. A whole army of immigration lawyers with endless appeals and pay by the hour. Couple that with endless delays and appeals; you have the formula for real wealth here. Ditto for the drug trade. The US legal system makes a mint off this facet as well;they don't want to stop the drug traffic regardless of what they say. Too lucrative from the legal side.

It would be relatively inexpensive to mine the borders and force EVERYONE to go through the gateways. But what the heck this would be a solution. They don't want this. You don't want this or think it's too harsh!Fine come up with an inexpensive SOLUTION,then implement it. I'll back it.

The US legal system is still in the buggy whip era as it is too slow [purposely for material gain]to react to this century's problems from an antiquated format.Too many of your elected officials are lawyers who don't want to embrace change;that's very unprofitable for their colleagues.Terrorists love this situation for they derive much aid and comfort in this type of molasses environment.

So watch the borders. When they finally embrace a SOLUTION,at least we know the fuel supply has been cut off.

Regards,

Anyer
