ONE OF THE SIMPLEST AND MOST TRENCHANT OBSERVATIONS YET
ON THE POLITICAL SCENE DISCUSSED HERE:

"If you have more friends, you will have fewer enemies"

A national foreign policy aimed at making friends (while
making money, of course) is a helluva lot better than one
that is focused on control and power.

If you want to rid the world of terrorists, you have to at least be willing to consider:

-- who are these people?
-- why do they think that way?
-- why do they hate us?
-- how did that come about?
-- did we have any part in that?

If you just demonize them and annihilate them, you find that
you are just fueling the fires of the next generation of
terrorists.

The opportunity exists here (over time) to rid the world of
terrorism, or substantially reduce it. But it won't be done by the gun or the bomb.

Namaste!

Jim

Hi Bosco,

the ultimate defense is not to have a bigger gun or taller gate or stronger lock; rather, it is to try to treat everyone fairly and foster a greater cooperative environment

Which is exactly the approach the US has been following in this country. Look what it got us.

As for crypto, to allow an enemy to operate within our borders and be able to use totally secure communications is nothing short of insanity. Further, I believe that if "War" is declared and these privacy advocates still refuse to give up these keys to the proper officials, they should be immediately charged with TREASON.

It won't be long before some radical uses CBW within our borders or worse yet, nuclear weapons.

I believe it was last year when Zeev was fielding questions about his then recent trip to the Middle East when the subject of Palestine schools came up. At that time we were going to Palestinian middle school geography links and seeing maps of Israel and Palestine.

These maps showed Palestine as Palestine and Israel as "Occupied Palestine". Couple that with this year's revelation that textbooks in Palestine use the killing of Jew Dog Infidels to teach addition and subtraction to elementary school students and we have to ask, " How do you treat entire generations that have been taught this level of hate since birth fairly and cooperatively?"

The answer lies in the way we handle Bin Laden. As he is a dead man if he ever returns to Saudi territory, I agree we should let Islam themselves show the world the error of his ways. That way, "The Great Satan" doesn't conquer him and make him just another martyr.

IMHO,

BT

P.S. May the Lord bless you and keep you.

May the Lord make his face to shine upon you.

May the Lord lift up his countenence upon you and

Give you peace.
