Re : people strongly criticizing George W. Bush -- recently, I caught up on a whole bunch of old (early year 2001) issues of Newsweek (in rapid succession). One thing I noticed (and, I swear I was not looking for this) was : something like 90% or more of the letters to the editor that were extremely nasty in their criticisms of GWB (and almost always bringing up the popular vote and/or Supreme Court stuff) ... were written by women. I am not sure what this means, but ... I sure noticed it. Jon.

In case you skipped your high school civics course, the process that ended up awarding the Presidency to George Bush was exactly how things were supposed to go. I am sorry you are pissed off Bush was elected by due process, but the fact of the matter is that he IS our President and your after the fact whinning only reveals your bias. We are in a state of war and we follow our duly elected leaders. It is clear that along with that ratan cream-puff, you have never been in a command situation where lives hung in the balance.
