JohnG - 1. What the Israelis did during the Gulf War won't ever be announced. 2. The bit that was for public consumption was this:- The Israelis gave the US a message to pass on to Saddam. The message was to the effect that if more than 5,000 Jews were killed by poison gas then Iraq would be destroyed. Best , L

Israel's part in any middle East comflict involving NATO vs Iraq is to do nothing. John, If Israel's intelligence indicates Iraq has available weapons of mass destruction, they won't be staying out this time, IMO. As much as we may think otherwise, there were several lines Iraq would not cross last time. If they are involved here, they've already crossed those lines. Edit: Just saw Lim's post a few back. Same concept here Lim, Iraq knew there were a few things they could not do without being destroyed. Gassing Tel Aviv was one of them. Toppling the WTC is another. If they are involved, they are about to be destroyed. That tells me, if they are involved, Iraq will do anything this time. Hence, my original point. If they have nuclear weapons, they plan to use them. Israel will not wait around for that, just as they didn't hesitate to take out Iraq's nuclear reactor in 1981. Cooters
