agreed. but lets go after those who make decisions and use resources to attack us. let's not overstep and get "everyone."

Agreed; we just suffered a very smart attack and must reply with one. But just going after those who "did it" is not enough. Many states in the Middle East have been using terrorist networks as proxy fighters to preserve deniability -- Iran & Hizbollah are the prime example. So far, they've paid no price at all for this. We must make the price of this unacceptably high to the sponsoring country. Making an example out of the sponsor of the WTC attack would be a good start.

Hi Skeeter Bug; Re: "i'm afraid the US doesn't have the stomach that these terrorists have.

I think you're exactly right here. We didn't have the nerve to pry Hitler's fingers off of Europe, so now his children are still running the EU. We didn't even have enough guts to go after Mussolini, and now his minions are still ruling in North Africa. If we'd had guts, (and smarts), maybe we would have stood a chance against the Japanese. The Chinese beat us in Korea, and the Russians look like they're going to take over in the wake of the slow decline of Hitler's Germany.

Yeah we're real pushovers. We don't even have the guts to execute our prisoners in public. No one here believes in God. Our churches are empty on Sunday. Surely you didn't see anyone praying after the WTC disaster.

No, we're just going to roll over and surrender as gracefully as possible, just like we always have before. That's why bald headed electrical engineers I work with are searching on the internet to find out how pot bellied, badly sighted and gray haired you can be and still volunteer for the reserves. They don't want to see any fighting. They're taking this totally calmly.

Over in the military, there's no talk of looking forward to combat. Those Afghani rebels use home made bolt action rifles! We don't have technology that can put a dent in them, and we proved that in Kuwait. Hundreds of U.S. soldiers are still being killed down there every week. We should have just let Saddam roll through Saudi Arabia.

And the rest of the world knows we're wimps. That's why all but a few countries have promised their full support for us. They know that they'll be the ones that actually have to do the fighting. We've always let our allies be the ones that took the casualties.

I could go on, but I think this is enough.
