Chr., does anyone know where I can find the Administrator (SI Jeff?) on SI?

As you asked me directly, Tom,

Spirit earned himself an entry on my ignore list (there are not very many people who managed to get there, btw), so I don't see his posts anyways.

I also promise not to raise an answer concerning S. here again, but rather place it on one of his home threads...if necessary.

As you perhaps know that I despise undemocratic measures of different kinds, I am pleased that you ask the valued regulars on this thread for their opinion; in doing so it is easily demonstrated how many supporters S. has here.

Keep up the good work,

Chr.

Tom- you have my vote.. and whats more, I think its pretty obvious that he is more concerned with the mountain of loses he has accumulated over the last 6 months fighting the momentum down and is now trying to profit from this disaster..

Please do us all a favor and ban this SOB before I drug him and ship him to Bin COD.. (joking of course about the drug/ship part)

Tom--I have the header for the thread blocked out for ease of us. I decided to read it before I offered my vote on American Spirit. Overall I didn't feel he was outside the parameters of the thread except the last line. He is no fun, not here to have fun, is taking some of the pleasure of the thread away from others, and all in all I think in violation of the spirit of the thread (in addition to violating the ID name he choose). I say ban him.
All the Best
Druss
I noticed incidentally that he has stopped posting all of a sudden. I suspect the violation of spamming too many posts in a six hour period has caught up with him. May be a week or more before we see him again. Time enough to have him barred here.

Tom,

AS has managed to alienate a number of threads and be subsequently banned. This thread should probably follow that precedent.

Regards,

Dave

Tom, AS has consistently violated the spirit and letter of the SI TOU and the wishes of the regulars here, a respected and popular SI thread.

Ask SI Jeff to dump him, by all means. Unfortunately threads started before a certain date can't be shifted to a moderated forum without SI intervention. But Jeff has been very helpful cleaning some rubbish off my thread.

If enough people draw a line, then the playground twerps will stick to their own corner of SI and not bother the grownups.

I vote no. If this was a new only or a reference thread that would be different. Just ignore them and please don't respond to them.

It takes an idiot to argue with an idiot.

Thank you...thank you....thank you...

I have always abhorred the idea of the 'ignore' function. I have always been willing to listen to opposing views....any trader does.

But after months of AS's drivel....
Always....Buy, Buy, up until the close...and through the night....endlessly. But the next morning, if there was a gap down, it became....

Ummmmm, I closed in the AH or premarket....Damn, I hate being right...
Everytime. I used 'ignore'. I don't see his post, replies to him, or get PMs. From the comments that I see, I almost wish that I could.....but it would make me crazy. I don't suffer fools gladly.

A 'yahooligan' on SI and nothing more.

Tom, I vote no on banning AS provided he agrees to not post more than once per day on the thread. A little noise is to be tolerated in a free society, but too many posts become spam and damage the thread. I agree with a few of his posts and disagree with many, but he is entitled to express his opinion so long as he does not "spam" the thread, use profanity, or make personal attacks.

This is a time for unity and love among all people who value freedom and abhor destructive acts. There is room in this world and on SI for diversity and differences of opinion so long as those differences do not tread on the rights of others.

I vote Yes, ban him. Hopefully he will leave on his own. The Amateur Traders Corner functions remarkably well with only a few short term incidents in the past(politics is usually the issue!). It most certainly is not a free speech issue!! He has ample opportunity to act the demagogue all over SI and of course start his own board. Why taint one of the most respected and intelligent threads where busy people with other commitments(like jobs) frequent?
