John, I almost completely agree with you about the aftermath of the horror.

Do you think this hysteria is the fault of your media ? There seems to be no other things to be shown on TV other than the replay of those horrors. Even I am not an American I am feeling it to be disturbing and if I am I may have the feeling of being tortured.

John, RE: The current mass hysteria, fed by media and government propaganda, has finally eclipsed the terrorist hysteria that took place during the Gulf War. Remember that paranoia, remember that NOTHING happened.

The main reason that this is on all media 24/7 is because people want to see it. I agree with your notion that we need to get back to business, but you need to realize that a lot of people are not as resilient as you. If you give them time, they'll get back to living life. Don't fault them for having a different schedule than you.

It is important to note your analogy to the Gulf War. Ex ante, all we heard about was the elite Republican Guard of Iraq, how well trained they were. Ex post, we saw a bunch of guys starving to death, happy that they didn't have to fight any more. In hindsight, it was all so obvious.

I don't know what all the consequences will be of the WTC attack, but I know one thing for sure--whatever happens, it will be something that is unexpected now but will be obvious after the fact.
