I have a basic problem wiht the aid organizations that are soliciting money. the overhead on united way is 40% and American Red Cross is 35%. They use disasters as major fund rasing events and then take a high percentage of this into their own pockets. I would suggest that those that want to give investigate lower expense ratio organizations that put more money into the hands of those that need help then the ones listed.
