If President Clinton had a better moment than he did in that hangar in Oklahoma City, I never saw it,'' said Neal. ``He lifted the spirits of an entire nation that day. That's what a president does. He provides comfort. And he finds a way to inspire people, to lift them up as well.''

To me this is BS. President Bush is lifting the country just fine. He is not the sole, or even the primary provider of comfort. He has many good people working with him to help do that. Him and his team need to provide leadership and strength in the coming days, and that will be the test.

GET OVER THE SPEECHES CLINTON USED TO MAKE AND QUIT COMPARING THAT TO THE PRESIDENT.

this feel good generation needs to get a grip.

Truley amazing. At a time when nobody knew WTF was going on, these idiots think the POTUS should go into harms way on purpose ? Thus providing the enemy with a chance to succeed in a mission ?

Do I have that right ?

If I would have eaten anything in the last few hours I might puke.

As a Massachusetts resident, I take this opportunity to apologize to the nation for the traitorous statements of Marty Meehan and Richard Neal. As registered cowards, they are shocked at this week's events and I'm sure they didn't know what they were saying.

Here are copies of the letters I sent today. I hope some of you who feel as I do will let them know what you think also.

September 14, 2001

Mr. Martin Meehan
U.S. House of Representatives
2447 Rayburn House Office Building
Washington, DC 20515

Dear Mr. Meehan,

I am appalled by your following comments about our President:

“U.S. Rep. Martin T. Meehan (D-Lowell) scoffed at reports Air Force One was targeted by terrorists - the reason Bush aides have put forth to explain why the president delayed his return to Washington after Tuesday's attack on the Pentagon. ``I don't buy the notion Air Force One was a target,'' said Meehan. ``That's just PR. That's just spin.''”

I hope this attack on our president and insinuation that he is a coward in this time of crisis is displayed for all to see when your re-election comes up. You have used this tragedy to take a political pot shot at someone you obviously don’t like, and even appear to be calling the President of the United States a liar. This is a time to bring Americans together, sir. Not politics as usual.

You should be ashamed.

Respectfully,

September 14, 2001

Mr. Richard Neal
Washington, D.C. Office
2133 Rayburn House Office Building
Washington, D.C. 20515

Dear Mr. Neal,

I am appalled by your following comments about our President:

“``It's not a question of what he's saying,'' said U.S. Rep. Richard Neal (D-Springfield). ``The content is fine. But the blandness with which it is delivered has caused considerable reaction.''”

“Neal said several Democratic colleagues agree with his assessment that Bush must show a more forceful, vigorous style as he seeks to rally the nation behind him”

You act as though this situation is a charisma contest. It is not! If you feel “his message is fine” I feel you should leave it at that and STICK BY HIM. Your second comment shows only that several “Democratic colleagues” are NOT with President Bush. I can assure you the overwhelming majority of the American people are behind him. I can only guess that you think you will get some political points with this remark, but I think you are mistaken. I hope this attack on President Bush in this time of crisis is displayed for all to see when your re-election comes up. You have used this tragedy to take a political pot shot at someone you obviously don’t like. This is a time to bring Americans together, sir. Not politics as usual.

You should be ashamed.

Respectfully,

Nothing slick willy ever said comforted me or anybody I know. I nearly puked every time the sob opened his lying mouth. The liberals can't even bring themselves to this day to admit how much damage willy did to this country. It will be with us for a long time. The WTC is but a small measure of what the breakdown of the intelligence community, caused by the social experimentation of willy and his b@#%h wife willary imposed on our nation. We are defenseless against terrorists. We are only lucky that the extremists haven't struck big before this week.knc
