I don't know what the H thinks but when he gets home I will ask him. We made a vow to quit arguing about politics during the Elian Gonzalez episode. That disagreement had us seriously contemplating divorce. We both take our politics very seriously. -g-

I doubt he is in favor of any of the things you suggested, but I know he supports active military intervention on behalf of Taiwan if China loses its patience.

Civil disturbance isn't something new in China, as you know. I know how you feel about democracy, but it does allow the government to change without bloodshed.

The money which your clients are paying for privatizing Chinese industry isn't going to the Chinese people, except in the abstract. It's going to the government to dole out as it sees fit.

When the government is done, will those industries be owned by people who did not build them? If so, that's a shame.

I am aware that there are also home-grown entrepreneurs in China, and have great hope for their success. Maybe all that's going on is partnerships - if so, I apologize for my misconception.
