No disrespect for Bill Clinton, but he's not in charge right now. Bush Sr. was willing to invade Iraq over the price of super unleaded (among other "trivial" things like the fate of some country we could otherwise care less about). What do these institutions think Bush Jr. will do over an atrocity that overshadows Pearl Harbor? Better yet, what do they think he WON'T do?

If there had been more terrorists involved, and some of them had been on a delayed flight, shutting down the air traffic system would have stopped them. Ever had a delayed flight?

Shutting down the air traffic system was also a very good way to ease fears that any of the random airliners aloft would be turned into another sky-jacked bomb.

That is ONE of the things that went right with this whole disaster. I can't believe you don't see that.
