Why does that "only went to Europe once" thing irk you guys? How many of your leaders have owned baseball teams, or been to the Grand Canyon, or the Jazz Festival? I've never been to Europe, but I've been to Canada and Mexico. Going to Nova Scotia didn't teach me anything about British Columbia. I went to the Yucatan, which didn't tell me anything about Baja. I've been to Los Angeles, which didn't teach me anything about San Francisco. "Going to Europe" doesn't teach you about "Europe," does it? It's just that snooty Eurocentric thing. Americans are all illiterates and cowboys. Europe is the center of the world.
