a sad/funny story on donations: having made a tidy amount of profit in 99, I donated to three or four big-ticket organizations - I will not name them, because after all they do serve a good cause, but ... read on. The result was that a steady stream of "Oliver Twist asks for more" letters have been coming in since. Cumulatively they have probably burnt about 15% of my original donation so far. I intentionally refrained from providing my name and address since - tax credit be damned. dj
