<<<any ammo would be unacceptable, as most bullets would make holes in the side of pressurized planes>>

I understand that small caliber hollow point bullets would not go through the plane. Anyway I would rather have a plane with a hole in the shell than have a hijacker take me into the Washington Monument.

Maybe we should register the typsy passengers so they won't be shot. <g>

Got it. You have to be drunk and carried on or you cannot fly. This way the only terrorist you would get is an Irishman or an alcoholic. Also all fliers would disrobe and go through showers and inspection, then be issued a flight jumpsuit. The would be locked into their seats and allowed to go to washroom with escorts only. Bad bad bad but no more WTC's.

There is no way to eliminate terrorism completely. For every way to lock one things down there are a dozen things to try.

We could try training american terrorists to do the same thing in Muslim countries at random. After all it is only fair. They cannot keep shrugging their shoulders and saying it is because of your rotten policies but it wasn't us, honest. Perhaps. If we gave every american some missile triggers and let them vote on it with all the intelligence we could gather, what do you suppose their response would be? After all the Muslims are saying basically that the terrorists are right, but we didn't do it. So we could say the same thing.

Those carried by prior "Sky Marshals" didn't! Specially designed to destroy flesh with out causing explosive decompression. If I remember what I read correctly they were 357 mag loaded with 68 gr small jacket bullets greatly exposed soft lead hollow point pushed to max velocity. I think there have also been hard plastic bullets tried.
