Well, maybe i'll rent that!

Of course this is a humiliation to the majority of Muslims. I feel bad that Arabic taxi drivers are calling in sick because they fear for their safety. I feel bad that people are making threatening phone calls to mosques. Today I made two calls to Islamic centers to express my sorrow at that phenomenon.

A comic thing happened on one of them. The man to whom I was connected had a heavy accent. I introduced myself very briefly, said, "We have never met, but..." and he interrupted and said what I thought was, "Well, we are meeting now!" I thought this was a rather odd tone to take, but certainly very friendly, and so I went on to say my little piece, after which he said rather impatiently, "Couldn't you please call back this afternoon? I said we are meeting now."

He was in a meeting.

LOL.

Edit: I'm not sure, but I think gao seng thinks that American Muslims, non-extremists, just citizens, worshipping their God, should be persecuted for the acts of the extremists and not shown kindness by their fellow Americans. He has posted very oddly.

I am ashamed that Americans are doing this to each other. Innocent Muslims just doing their jobs died in the WTC. Their families deserve to be able to pray for their loved ones at their Mosque without being shouted at, or suffering the additional horror of graffiti.
