Hi Karen, That post was beautiful, really and truly. And no, nothing you, CR, or anyone else said on this thread contributed to my "raggedness". I live with a serious case of PTSD, diagnosed ten years ago. I was warned that any traumatic event would trigger the condition, and it has. Anyway, you and I are pretty much on the same page regarding patriotism. If I thought for a minute that shorting the market would cause further decline, I wouldn't do it. My last post was an attempt to explain the mechanics of the market in the terms of checks and balances and I probably didn't do a very good job of it. I appreciate your opinions, as always.
