america has chosen to see it differently. we have declared it war. soooo... there you have it. this IS war. I think it is now war because that is what EVERYONE wants it to be. Not just America. I use the term "everyone" very loosely. Obviously you and many other open minded people do not want it. But it also seems that many open minded people, along with the masses of other not-so-open-minded-people want it. And not only from AMERICA, like you said. It seems that our allies want to see it differently. But most of all, IT IS THE TERRORISTS that said "this IS war." They have been trying their hardest to declare war but we weren't able to hear them from way across the ocean on the other side of the earth. The newspapers only yelled so loud but for the most part we were able to sit back in our easy chairs and say, "Us open minded people can see that we probably instigated it, and by them blowing up the USS Cole (sp?) or our marines, or our airplanes, or our embassies, or parts of Israel, or various other targets, was their only way fight back." Sure many of us can see that. But we kept on seeing it in our kind hearted manner and wanted to find proof for each and every detail and get exact names for each and every incident. Of course we may have embellished on certain facts or found certain people to blame where it wasn't completely the right person or group. Apparently we kept missing their true intentions, though. They really do want war with us. What other way could they possibly signal to us that they want to fight us? How else can they show us that they want to fight us to the death? They want us to fight them to a point where it unites all of Islam where they all become religious fanatics like the Taleban <sp?>. They hit us hard this time. There is no doubt that they want war. We are not the ones trying to declare it. They have been trying to declare it for years now. They have been screaming it each time there is an incident. But we keep ignoring them. Not "ignore" in a typical sense. The American public gets annoyed every time they do something horrible over on that end of the Earth but popular opinion keeps us from committing 100% to fighting them. There is always part of us who feel bad for the little guy. The underdog. After all we are the bully. We can understand that the little guy might get pissed off. But when the little guy comes into our home and kills our brothers and sisters, we suddenly see them for what they are and for what they want. They want war. They do not want us to ignore them anymore. Lets give it to them now while we can commit whole heartedly. To give 100% effort. Lets beat the fuckin piss out of these low life mother fuckers who will only continue to come into our back yard and cause terror for our children. They are not going to stop now. There is not a peaceful end to this right now. If there is, give me a clue because I don't see it. These people are going to fight dirty. It's the only way they can afford to fight. That is understandable. But with each year we wait, the weapons they use will get more and more sophisticated. Now the weapon of choice happens to be passenger jets. Soon it will be biological warfare. Poisoning of our water systems. Nuclear warefare. Who knows what will come next. Mean while we will have to give up more and more of our freedom. Just as the race is on for finding cures for cancer with biotechnology, don't think for one minute that some diabolical rat bastard isn't trying to find new methods of killing the western world with biotechnology. This was not a criminal incident. This was an act of war that they waged on us. They want war. For if we kill them, or they kill themselves, it will put them in good graces with their god. I say we stop ignoring them and allow them to meet their maker. Remove these fanatics from the face of the earth. Not by trial. They certainly will not be treating us fairly by fighting fairly. They will terrorize us in the name of their god. In order to prevent ourselves from seeing other attacks of worse magnitude we must accept their invitation of war and remove them from the face of this earth so that we can go back to living with the freedom to do what is right, and what will allow us not to live in fear. When we reach that comfort zone again, that is when we can find tollerance for those smaller sects trying to gain a bigger piece of the pie. We have allowed them enough kicks to our crotch. They have taken enough of our children. They have taken enough or our friends, brothers, sisters, and good wholesome Americans. They have taken the parents of our children. Now it is time to remove the fear from this world. We have ignored them much too long. They don't want to be ignored any more. Hopefully we will find the right combination of bombs, troops, and diplomacy to lose the least amount of life. JMHO -John <edit> Symetrical effin grub.
