Ken,
First off let me thank you for starting this this thread...
I do not know if what I am thinking falls within it's format but here goes....

Just thinking about the fact that the USA is testing the winds as to which countries might join us in the task of kicking ass and taking names later...brings up a lot of questions......

I found this on another thread ...

<<<CNN reported last night forgiving 30 billion in debt is included in the deal.
US Secretary of State Colin Powell on Saturday said Pakistan had been "very forthcoming" in its cooperation on possible US action and said the US was appreciative of that -- remarks that could be seen as a signal Washington is preparing to dip into its coffers.>>>

This prompted me to try to find out just how much forign aid we have spread to the different countries around the world....So far I have been unsuccessfull at finding that number....does anyone have a way to find out?..might be an interesting or even shocking amount...just that $30 BILLION is shocking to me...remember OUR tax $$ paid this...and why am I forced to fagitabout the repayment.

Any ideas?

Hal

Hi, Ken - Is this a place for discussing strategy options and possibilities for the "war on terrorism?" I was looking for a thread to do this, and this one would seem appropriate.

Will catch up on al the posts first and jump in somewhere along the line.

BTW - a source I came across on another thread is Janes. Here's link to recent article:

janes.com

Subscription seems pricey, but I wonder if it has anything to do with the military magazine of a similar name.

Christianity's 20th Century bin Laden

"I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator (Allah): by defending myself against the Jew (Infidel), I am fighting for the work of the Lord (Prophet).."
--Mein Kampf

My feelings as a Christian (Muslim) points me to my Lord and Savior (the Prophet) as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded only by a few followers, recognized these Jews (Infidels) for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God's (Allah's) truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian (Muslim) and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord (Allah) at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple (our Holy Land) the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was His fight for the world against the Jewish (Infidel) poison. To-day, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before in the fact that it was for this that He had to shed His blood upon the Cross. As a Christian (Muslim) I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice....
And if there is anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly it is the distress that daily grows. For as a Christian (Muslim) I have also a duty to my own people....
When I go out in the morning and see these men standing in their queues and look into their pinched faces, then I believe I would be no Christian (Muslim), but a very devil if I felt no pity for them, if I did not, as did our Lord (the Prophet) two thousand years ago, turn against those by whom to-day this poor people is plundered and exploited.

It will at any rate be my supreme task to see to it that in the newly awakened NSDAP (Al Qaeda), the adherents of both Confessions can live peacefully together side by side in order that they may take their stand in the common fight against the power which is the mortal foe of any true Christianity (Islam).
-Adolf Hitler, in an article headed "A New Beginning," 26 Feb. 1925

I believe that Providence (Allah) would never have allowed us to see the victory of the Movement (Jihad) if it had the intention after all to destroy us at the end.
-Adolf Hitler, in a speech to old members of the Party at Munich on 8 Nov. 1933

What we are we have become not against, but with, the will of Providence (Allah). And so long as we are true and honourable and of good courage in fight, so long as we believe in our great work and do not capitulate, we shall continue to enjoy in the future the blessing of Providence (Allah).
-Adolf Hitler, at Rosenheim in Bavaria, 11 Aug. 1935

(Parentheses, mine)

Very first post on FADG, and written 9/15/2001...I've been curious the last few days about what the timeline was on 9-11 on various threads, and our reactions to the events. And now, our reactions then and now to the situation in Iraq and the ME....

Right out of the barrel, this link was given...Fred points out later that these pictures were taken and events happened before the State of Israel was created...

eretzyisroel.org

Many interesting thoughts especially in the days and weeks after 9-11.

BTW, what happened to tekboy?

And Ken, if you are even looking at this site, my best to you and your wife and family. Hope you are continuously on the mend and doing well.
