Derek, I have no idea who will take the place of Sadam, but it must be a government that will not support terrorism, and Sadam is a terrorist, and an enemy! It is is up to Iraqi people who to take Sadam place, it is up to the civilized world to get rid of him!

Derek... Saddam won't live forever... and Qusai is set to secede him anyway..

But the overthrow of Saddam has always been a tough question to answer. The country consists of artificially applied borders left over from British rule, and a diverse population of Kurds, Shiite Arabs, Sunnis, and secular baathists..

And definitely the Iranians would love to claim the southern portion of Iraq where one of their holy sites of Shiism is located.

But we can't afford to let this SOB continue to fund and support terrorism (he blatantly attempted to assassinate G. Bush Sr some 6 years ago during his visit to Saudi Arabia), or threatening Jordan with invasion in order to get at Israel.

So I'm prepared to take on the risks and obligation of taking Hussein out and taking my chances that the power struggle that will result keeps the Iraqi government pointed inward, rather than creating bedlam overseas.
