Jack- It's amazing how some people keep trying to instill fear by constantly building up our enemy's fighting capabilities and avoiding recognizing ours. I don't know where they get the crazy idea that we're going to be defeated, even in the obvious example that comes to mind (Vietnam) I don't believe we lost many battles, if we lost any at all. That outcome was not decided on the battlefield, it was decided in the committee room. Forgetting that, any restraints we restricted ourselves to was influenced by the real or imagined possibility of widening the war and having China participate on the other sides behalf. I don't see this happening here, but rather the reverse may be true. It saddens me to read some of their posts, our troops are probably going to be "in harms way", and they still haven't learned the lessons of Vietnam vis a vis how important moral support is on the home front. They almost sound like the types that spat on our soldiers 30+ years ago.
