Yes, too often the substantive issue of guilt or innocence was lost in procedural issues. As important as it is to maintain due process, you do not invalidate a warrant for trivial defects, nor do you exclude evidence when probable cause is disputable, you sanction the offending officers in a separate hearing. Perhaps one day we will get it right.

About terrorism: It is a national security issue, not a criminal issue.
