Hi Quehubo,

Scary thought that you'd need to shoot fellow citizens in a time of needy panic. I find the transformation in the American spirit to be quite sad. When urban exoduses occurred during the 1930's, many indigents were greeted with a slice of pie, a meal and a chance to work a bit to pay it off as they moved along. Now, the idea is to shoot at sight?.... Sad.

If we can't control our fear, our fear will control us.

>>In spite of the dreadful safety statistics on hand gun ownership<<

Many of those statistics are cooked is various ways.

"Killied while cleaning his gun" Has a much higher occurance on death reports for Catholics than Protestants.
This is likely to have much more do to with Catholics regarding suicide as a sin, than Catholics being inept at firearms cleaning.

"A gun in the home is liklely to kill a friend or relative" This is based on a question in the FBI statistics, "Was the victim known to the assailant ?" This gets answered yes for all the dope deals gone bad. Anti-gun types love to twist this.

That being said, there is some real incremental risk in having firearms around.

Also, based on your previous posts, since you have such lovely people in your immediate area,
an M-60 or the newer Squad Automatic Weapon might be a good choice ;-)

Best of Luck, energyplay
