Most disturbing are the recent polls. Only 52% support a prolonged war on terrorism. Only 66% support a multi year campaign.

This should not concern you one bit! We don't have leaders who take polls to determine what the right action should be.

I rarely believe polls, unless they post the actual questions posed.
From the CNN Poll:

"Sixty-two percent of those polled said the U.S. should declare war"

Sounds like 38% against attacks, but yet:

"Eighty-five percent of those questioned supported air strikes against
isolated military targets."

There are always those that don't want to get their feet wet.

"The Time/CNN survey was conducted on Thursday by telephone with a
sample of 1,082 adults."

Do they always call the same people? Maybe I should quit sitting by the
phone> <gg>
