Unless you served in Vietnam and experienced the "pat on the back" we got, please don't judge too harshly.
There are still some ill feelings in a lot of veterans towards those that treated us badly.

SirRealist-- hateful,, no they are NOT hated. But you had to have been there... coming off a plane direct from the jungle. Nothing against gays either--- just anyone with their 'special' greetings to returning servicemen many have a special feeling for,,not hate,, but a wish they would have been where we were and barring that with Hanoi Jane-- at least the balls to do more than smoke dope and steal flowers.
