These people (the guys on those planes) have a very different profile from almost all previous suicide bombers. One guy who just wrote a book on suicide bombing was quoted in the Australian today as saying he needs to tear it up and start again.

Though we should note the two recent cases (Egypt Air and Silk Air) of pilots possibly downing their own planes.
