Whatever Bush has in mind, he is moving too fast I say you cannot move to fast....to keep Bin Laden in his hole until we find him and ...to keep all the others worried about whether they have been discovered or compromised. Terrorists who are being actively and relentlessly chased will have fewer communications, meetings, opportunities and hence, successes. Regardless of their suicidal dreams they have the same reactions to danger as anyone else, especially if that danger conflicts with eventual success. Bin Laden is extremely important. He's the same kind of symbol that the WTC Towers were, highly visible. He is protected by the zealous and committed. If he falls there will be a reaction to it amongst his followers. Until it happens we will not find out the extent of damage it will cause but he is the best choice, by far. The only down side will be if we are stupid enough to declare "any" kind of victory with his capture. It should merely be treated as inevitable and part of the larger victory to come (which incidentally may not ever come. There will always be nuts out there.

re: Afghanistan is not actually in the stone age, but the point was they do not have significant assets that will make the cost of shielding bin Laden too high for them were they to lose them... Yahoo News (Reuters) reported 8:07 ET. That the Taliban rulers have moved a large amount of weapons near the Pakistan Border...INCLUDING SCUD MISSILES.

Isreal has never had a plane taken over. Israel is surrounded by countries full of people who wish to destroy Israel. I think they have done extremely well. I do not propose that we leave bin Laden alone. But he is only a symbol at this point. He's not the root of the tree, he's the ornament at the top. Eliminating him will not stop the next cell from attempting to carry out whatever plan they have. Yes, but virtually all of the terrorists received some type of training, funding or other support from Afganistan. Nobody ever said the goal was to get Bin Laden and do a happy dance. The goal is to take out the organization. If one has a link to the top of the tree, then one can get at the branches. But remember, these are a bunch of chicken shit animals who won't come out and fight. They would rather create terror and fear. Their present goal isn't world dominance, but to divide and conquer our individual freedoms. The best and only way to get these people is to smoke them out. Make it so there is no place on this earth they can hide. To make it so that they have no access to money, no method of secret communication, nobody they trust, and no places to train. Any appendage that is available to attack must be attacked. V
