I am going deaf from all of the cheerleading. I find it interesting that in the public appearances by "investment analysts" I have not heard anybody with the integrity to say "the market looks bad, the economy looks bad, both are likely to get worse, the best thing to do is raise some cash and get ready for opportunities at much lower prices." Instead we get all kinds of absurd and references to patriotic rallies and dishonest people implying that this will all soon blow over and there is nothing to worry about. I think they are putting their own interests first (big surprise there) and spreading hogwash, even though it will hurt investors who refrain from selling because they have receive phony assurances and been given false hope.
