I'm making the assumption that the Civilized Nations are going to win this war, and we'll all be safe everywhere.

It will be a long time before this assumption with work for proving a theorem (theory).
Hope I am wrong completely.

I don't think cruise ships are going to be a target, any more than any other concentration of people.

I think the risk are greater over here, being an easy and accessible target.
