God in the Old Testament specifically comes out against sacrificing children. But he does say to slaughter the populations of Canaanite cities that don't make peace. Everyone did that anyway and the Crusaders were busy at it 2000 years later. Do it my way or I'll destroy you. And if you do it my way I'll destroy your enemies for you. Whereas many Christians condemn people to eternal hell who don't repent. Look, I'm sure your church is very enlightened and religions like Judaism have evolved tremendously from their early beginnings (the Rabbis have to go through contortions to try to prove there was no change really). But that isn't the full picture. How does Christianity look to the average Muslim in the streets of Cairo (or wherever)? David
