George, I would remind you that the countries of the middle east are not the rest of the world. The are many countries around the world with whose people we peacefully co-exist. We are free to come and go, exchange ideas, and engage in debate. You don't see us "propping up regimes" where human rights are obvserved. You'll see us involved where one group would brutally repress their own people.

The fact that groups we back would then turn around and repress their fellow countrymen is unfortunate, yet speaks more to the character of these people themselves than anything sinister on the part America.

US policy is largely driven by big money interest whose $$ pay for the candidate of their choice. But make no mistake about this, in this republic, leaders lead by the consent of the governed. The politicians are keenly aware of this and they know that in the heart of the American people there resides a sense of freedom and fairness that ultimately decides.

For all it's warts, the United States of America is the greatest force for good this world has ever seen. If you are aware of a country that has expanded more $$ and human life in the defense of other people's freedom, use the fingers God gave you and type out their name.
