The US is famous for high effectiveness of its counter-battery fire. If you want me to dig up links to accounts of our artillery versus Saddam Hussein's I'll do it. >>>>>>>

Yes, I would appreciate that.

I have to run out for awhile. I have printed out the information you have posted and I'm sure that I will seek further dialog with you after I get a chance to sit down and read the material.

If you don't mind?

Bilow, I don't know where you come up with some of your information, but you really need to verify what you read. I can guarantee that counter-battery isn't fired before the fired rounds land. We do have good capabilities, especially in the desert environment. I'm not so sure how that would all work out in rugged mountain terrain. Are armed forces aren't invincible, no matter how hard you want to believe it. I'm not trying to put down the military, hell I'm still in the IRR, but you have to be realistic. Reconnaisance from overhead is great when you're fighting battle formations, but when you're trying to find small cells that operate in guerilla warfare, it's like finding a needle in a haystack. And one thing I can assure you of, military intelligence analysts are not the swiftest.knc
