John,

PS go to www.wire.ap.org and check census data sorted by state. You will be able to see if you practice the concept of accepting diversity.

Even living in homogenous neighborhoods doesn't indicate whether people are open to diversity or not. I can live in an all-Catholic neighborhood, and still believe that it's okay for the Baptists in the next town over to practice Baptism <G>. People will always have diverse backgrounds and experiences, and it's natural to want to seek out people with similar experiences, beliefs, etc (isn't this how each of us selects our close friends?). The question is whether or not they "hate" the guys in the next town over for being different, or whether they accept that it's okay for them to be different.

JM2C,

Dave

p.s. One random thought -- if Timothy McVeigh has done what he did to a building in China or Russia, there would probably be some idiots here who would be excited and think it was great and dance in the streets. But the vast majority of Americans would be horrified.

My guess is that most Muslims are probably in this later category with respect to the actions of a few radical Muslims.
