zeev, i agree on all those technicals, but you are leaving out the psychological impact of the mythological bull horns being clipped (and i'm not trying to be moribund or callous here, i have been in grievance for the last week like everybody else)

very few tech companies pay dividends, people buy tech stock for capital gains, WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OR REVERSION TO THE MEAN, where companies that pay a dividend are valued highly and companies that don't will be characterized as speculations.

Zeev:

Bush's Texan rhetoric is the primary reason that we are under pressure. All this smok em out dead or alive talk has got Europe and Asia scared. LBJ was a crude man but nation and world in a much more naive time trusted what he said. Today everyone around the world wants him to stumble like a Gerry Ford or Jimmy Carter. Hopefully, as soon as game plan is announced, market will get more settled.
I can tell that Washington is working hard. I live approximately 1/2 way between NY and Philadelphia. When one hears Chinook helicopters and the smaller ones that Bush rides from White House all during the evening, you know the diplomatic talks are in the works between cabinet in DC and the foreign delegations in NYC. Last time I heard so many military choppers in transit to NYC was before gulf war, mid December if I remember.
How do you think Bush's speech to UN about US's response to terrorism will be received since this will probably be a prerequisite to make our case before the world before any military action commences.
