I am afraid we might be getting into the nightmare scenario here. I have suggested a while ago that in the event of a dollar weakness, the nightmare scenario would be there is no place to hide. After watching support levels broken, oscillators stretched to the extreme on the downside I am wondering if all this is caused not so much by asset allocation of US institutions but panic selling by foreigners. Since the dollar has been hammered, despite attempts by some foreign central banks. It is not surprising foreign investors simply want to get out any US bonds and equities. Which causes the decline we are seeing in both stock and bonds. Despite the fact we are oversold, it is still very orderly, witness the decline in VIX for the last two days. I still believe a snap back rally is coming, but this is getting old fast.
