depending on the visibility of the cycle, i would not be surprised if they cut the dividend next year. but even still, with a 2.5% yld let us hypothesize, and short-term rates in the US falling, i get an equity kicker as well. unless something fundamentally changes in the technology, this is a solid company to invest in, if you can stomach the cycles.

A little history.......
in late 1998 , as HELX and the sector continued to slip during the last big downturn,
HELX was yielding around 10% before the Dividend cut, and the price got as low as
about $7 (this is as best I can recall). still room on the downside here, and in the sector.
