Hey Heinz....we ALREADY got legalized drugs in the U.S...its called the alcohol industry..(cigs aside)

Its freakin' disgusting how Anheuser-Busch has tried to crush small local brewers over the years (so we can be stuck drinking their generic swill)...Give us that 500 year old German law about local brewers, please! ng

Drug addictions actually hurt many people besides the addict. Wrecks families, leads to child abuse in a variety of ways, leads to death one way or the other, of the abuser or of others --vehicular homicide, alcohol poisoning, neglect, high risk behavior, selling off kids, blowing up or poisoning self, others, even own kids (e.g. meth lab). Jobs are lost, productivity declines (cheating employers and family). For some, robbery and theft are needed to support a habit, or prostitution, drug dealing (keeping the cycle going). Only in a dream world is the damage limited solely to a drug abuser.

Do you actually know any therapist who would prefer that drug abuse continue rampant? If they do, then they themselves need therapy (with a more functional therapist than themselves).

BTW, I do agree that the "war on drugs" is a sham, but obviously I disagree on the effect of many addictive drugs on individuals, the workplace, families, and society as a whole.

they handle the drug issue much more appropriately in your neck of the woods Heinz.
"Harm Reduction" is a much better policy than what we currently employ
