Trading does take a back seat to grieving and understanding, but it doesn't go away altogether. The week's remaining good chance for a rally will be around 3:00 p.m. ET, when margin selling is completed.

IBM is my vehicle of choice. EMC and JNPR are showing intriguing relative strength.

There is a smaller chance of a rally tomorrow at the open, if people are heartened by Bush's address to Congress, but there's no gamable edge there. Going into expiration, who knows?

Remember: "best chance" is not the same as "lead-pipe" cinch.

Proton, I hope rumors remain rumors and no more.

I am surprized that nobody noticed that Sept 11 was the date of the cerin (sp?) or serin subway gas attack in Japan. Not that it matters at all.

I don't think dates, but weather and opportunity have more to do with timing.
