Since the majority of civilized peoples would consider organizing the deaths of innocent people amoral,

The "majority of civilized peoples" would not consider organizing the deaths of innocent people 'amoral,' and your statement was that a majority of civilized peoples would consider that act 'amoral.'

The majority of civilized peoples would consider the act that you described definitively, unambiguously immoral. More than "a majority," by a long shot, I feel quite sure!

This may be, though, an accurate description of the mentality of terrorists regarding the loss of innocent life.

I saw on one of these threads a link to a quote of bin Laden saying pretty much that the innocent lost would go to Paradise, so no problem: that represents the view of his actions that resulted in those innocent deaths as amoral.

As distinct from that of the majority of civilized peoples, who see them as immoral.

I think this is important because 'amoral' wildly trivializes the monumental evil of the crimes of September 11.
