Yes, perspectives differ. Same goes for the "spy plane" incident and our support of Tiawan. That difference of perspective, encouraged by their government, is why many Chinese (the internet connected ones) are so critical of the US. Thankfully, they and their government have as much to lose from global instability, not to mention the Taliban themselves, as we do and agree that 9/11 was, in fact, an act of terrorism that justifies action.

San Diego Internet company PeopleFirst.com has been acquired by Capital One Financial, one of the world's largest providers of MasterCard and Visa credit cards.

Capital One purchased privately held PeopleFirst for 3.7 million shares of common stock, which yesterday closed up 13 percent at $40 a share. At yesterday's stock price, the purchase price was equivalent to $148 million.

PeopleFirst, which provides online loans for vehicle and motorcycle purchases, said it will not lay off any of its 270 employees and may even hire more. The company will remain in San Diego.
